Overview

Before a user can access SAGE via eXtendSAGE-DE, their employee record in NetSuite needs to be linked to SAGE.

Prerequisites

Prior to user configuration in NetSuite, review your SAGE account to access the necessary SAGE Login ID and Authentication Key that are used in later steps:
  1. Go to https://www.sagemember.com and login using your company's login ID and password.
  2. Once logged in, navigate to Developer APIs → SAGE Connect.

  3. Access the Users tab to view all users in your SAGE account.

  4. Search for your name in the users list, and copy the Login ID and Authentication Key.

Configuration

Method 1: Update SAGE Credentials in NetSuite User Interface

  1. Go to the employee record to be linked with SAGE.
  2. Select the eXtendSAGE-DE subtab.
  3. Enter the SAGE KEY and SAGE LOGIN ID for the user. This will be the Authentication Key and Login ID, respectively, that were found in SAGE in the previous "prerequisites" section.

  4. Save the employee record. After the record is saved, the SAGE KEY will be automatically encrypted.

Method 2: Update SAGE Credentials in NetSuite Using CSV Import

  1. Prepare a CSV file with the details of the employee(s) to be updated along with updated SAGE field information: SAGE KEY and SAGE LOGIN ID. This will be the Authentication Key and Login ID, respectively, that were found in SAGE in the previous "prerequisites" section.
  2. Initiate an Employees CSV import and upload your CSV file.

  3. On the import options page, select the appropriate Data Handling option: Add, or Update, and enable the "RUN SERVER SUITESCRIPT AND TRIGGER WORKFLOWS" option.

  4. Map the fields in your CSV file to the SAGE KEY and SAGE LOGIN ID fields in NetSuite, depending on which values need to be updated.
  5. Process the import.
