Use Case

  • View the list of actions recently performed.
  • View the list of snack bar messages that appeared recently while using the application.
  • Configure the fields shown in the recent actions message.

Overview

  • Recent Actions
    The recent actions list allows you to view the response from your NetSuite account when you perform actions using eXtendMobile functions. When creating, editing, or transforming any record, you will receive a response in the recent actions list. This response will inform you whether the action was completed successfully or if there was an issue. If your action resulted in an error, you can review the error received in the recent actions list. You can then resubmit your request by correcting the issues or communicate with your NetSuite Administrator regarding the error received.

    If the operation is successful, you will receive information about the created or updated record. The information displayed can be configured using the "recent action" field in the function configuration screen. If the operation is successful, you can view the field values configured in the function's recent action fields. Note: If no recent action fields were configured in the function, you will see the ID of the created or updated record.
  • Recent Messages
    While using the eXtendMobile application, you will receive snack bar messages. This list will show all the messages you have received. This feature helps you view and communicate any errors that occur while executing mobile functions, in case you miss them during actual occurrence.

    Note: The date and time shown in the recent actions in your eXtendMobile app will be in the locale of your mobile phone.

Viewing Recent Actions

Real-time Response

After submitting any action (create, update, or transform), you will see the bell icon on the top of the home page turn red after processing is complete.

This indicates that a response was received from NetSuite. When you tap the bell icon, you will be directed to the recent actions page where you can see the response received from NetSuite. You can tap the tile to view the entire information received.

Recent Action List

To view a list of all the recent actions you have taken, navigate to the menu drawer and tap "Recent Actions".

Viewing Recent Messages 

To view the list of recent snack bar messages received while executing functions, navigate to the settings drawer and tap "Recent Messages".

Configuring Recent Action Fields

The fields displayed in the recent actions message are determined by the specific function's configuration. eXtendMobile Admins can set the "Recent Action Fields" definition on the configuration page for the function. The "Recent Action Fields" dictates which field(s) appear in the message. If this field is left empty, the ID of the record will be displayed in the recent actions message.

  1. From an eXtendMobile Admin role, edit the function where you want to control the recent action fields.
  2. Tap Recent Action Fields and select/remove fields depending on your use case. Note that if the field is left blank then the ID of the record will be shown.
