eXtendASI allows you to search for items within ASI’s ESP Web and constitute them in your
NetSuite
account.
You can also trigger item updates so that an updated ASI item is also
updated within NetSuite.
Using the eXtendASI Item Search
1. Go to eXtendTech → eXtendASI → Item
Search.
Item Search Options:
To filter your results to a specific vendor, you can select the vendor
name from the Vendor dropdown or enter their ASI # into the Supplier ASI # field.
To filter your results for a specific product, item, or keyword, enter the desired value into the Product # / Item Name / Keyword field.
To filter by both vendor and product information, populate both the Vendor and/or Supplier ASI # and Product # / Item Name / Keyword fields.
After entering your search preferences, click Submit.

Viewing Product Details
After performing your item search, click the hyperlinked name to open the product detail page.
Item Constitution
You can constitute items from ASI using
the
eXtendASI Item Search within NetSuite from both the item search and product detail pages.
Constituting Items from the Item Search Page
1. After performing your item search, click the select checkbox next to the item(s) that you want to constitute. Note: you can also start selecting specific colors or sizes and the item will be automatically selected.
2. Select the vendor name in NetSuite that you want the item to be associated with if not already mapped.
3. If your company uses item classifications, optionally set the Your Category and Sub Category fields.
4. After selecting all of the items which you want to constitute, click the Submit button.
When constituting 4
items or less, they will be
constituted in real-time. When constituting more
than 4 items, the items
will be scheduled in a batch on the NetSuite backend and a status page displayed. An email confirmation will be
sent when the items
have been constituted.

Constituting Items from the Item Detail Page
Once on the item detail page, select the color(s) and size(s) which you want to create (and optionally category and sub category) and click Constitute Item.
Viewing Item Information on a Constituted Item
After an item has been constituted in your NetSuite account, open the item record and navigate to the eXtendASI subtab to view information which was pulled from ESP.
Note: depending on the item data mappings performed during your eXtendASI installation, item data may be located on other subtabs and within other fields on your item record.
eXtendASI Item Search features:
1. After initially mapping the vendor as listed in ASI's ESP with your vendor in NetSuite, your mapping will be remembered and auto-selected in the future.
2. After initially mapping the ASI Category field with the Your Category field, your mapping will be remembered and auto-selected in the future.
3. You can map a multiple ASI Vendors to a single NetSuite vendor.
For example: Leed's, Bullet Line, and Trimark from ASI can all be pointed to a single, combined vendor in NetSuite.

4. You have the option to create all sizes and all colors for an item by leaving the color and size fields empty when selecting the item for constitution, or you can create specific variants by selecting the color and sizes that you want.
If an Item has "X"
number of colors and "Y" number of
sizes, then the number of items to
be constituted will be "X" times
"Y".
5. The number of items displayed
per page is configurable by your NetSuite Administrator.
The number of pages
will be
displayed on the search screen and you
can go back and forth by pressing the Previous and Next buttons.
