Overview
In eXtendASI, the naming of matrix child
items is controlled by the "Matrix Item
Name Template" field. This is found on the
eXtendASI Setup page.
The "Matrix Item Name Template"
field on the matrix parent item is used to
name matrix child items. If you need more
information about your configuration, please
reach out to your NetSuite Administrator. The
matrix options fields must be included in this
name template field. You should include the
fields specified in the "Matrix Color Option
Field" and "Matrix Size Option" fields (along
with any other identifiers) as needed for your
requirements.
Here are some situations where
the name template field value gets added
to the item during item
constitution:
1. Item
Constitution Without Sizes: If
the item to be constituted doesn't have
sizes, the "size" field in the name
template will be removed. The child item
will only include the "color"
attribute.
2. Item Constitution
Without Colors: If there are no
colors in the item to be constituted, the
"color" field in the name template will be
removed. The child item will only include the
"size" attribute.
3. Provided Mappings
Against the Itemid Field: If the
item constitution is of the matrix type, the
item naming will be overridden by the matrix
name template value that has been configured
in the eXtendASI Setup page. This happens
based on the provided mappings.
