Overview

Follow the instructions below to configure eXtendCOIA.

Setup Page Configuration 

  1. Go to Setup → eXtendCOIA → COIA Setup.Image Placeholder
  2. Configure the setup page fields:
    1. ADJUSTMENT LOCATION
      Specify the Adjustment Location to reflect available customer inventory for orders. This is where inventory would be put into customer-owned inventory during the eXtendCOIA inventory adjustment process.

      NetSuite OneWorld Note: The customer must be within the same subsidiary as the Adjustment Location.

    2. INVENTORY ADJUSTMENT ACCOUNT
      Specify an 
      Adjustment Account to use for the inventory that is owned by the customer.

    3. INVENTORY ADJUSTMENT BIN NUMBER
      When using NetSuite's
       
      Advanced Bin Management feature this option will be displayed. Specify the inventory bin you would like to use on the Inventory Adjustment record which is created by eXtendCOIA. This bin will be used if the Item-level field, COIA Preferred Bin, is undefined. 

      Note: 
      The location of the Inventory Adjustment Bin Number should be associated with the Adjustment Location. 

Item Record Configuration

Configure the fields below on your item records to set their COIA-related value.Image Placeholder
  1. eXtendTech COIA Inventory Owner
    Specify the customer 
    Inventory Owner for this item's customer owned inventory.

  2. COIA Preferred Bin
    If populated, eXtendCOIA will use this 
    preferred bin for the line item on the automatic inventory adjustment. If empty, it will use the Inventory Adjustment Bin Number specified in the eXtendCOIA Setup page.

    Note: Do not specify any value if the NetSuite 
    Advanced Bin Management feature is not enabled in your account.

Sales Order Configuration 

When processing a customer owned inventory order, you must set the following fields for them to be processed by eXtendCOIA. eXtendTech recommends using a specific custom sales order form when processing customer owned inventory orders so that these fields can be defaulted.

  1. Is eXtendTech COIA Customer Owned Inventory?
    This checkbox defines if the Sales Order is for a customer-owned inventory order and if the eXtendCOIA process should occur.

  2. eXtendTech COIA Inventory Owner
    This field must be specified on the line item. Note: by default, this field will source from the item record.

Note: Inventory Adjustments will not be created for items fulfilled as Drop Ship items.
