Q: What happens when the ‘Attach eXtendFiles’ button for the multiple file picker is used in eXtendFiles?
A: Files chosen from the 'Attach eXtendFiles' modal will be cloned and attached to the current record. A reference to the original file will be noted in the EXTENDFILES - CLONED FROM EXTENDFILE field on the new eXtendFiles record.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Most attributes of the new file will be reset, including record references, file type, and approval information, all of which will be set to blank. If certain attributes need to be carried over to the new file, they should be transferred using additional custom processes.
