Overview
eXtendFiles can restrict certain file types from being uploaded to your backend storage. For example, it can prevent the upload of Windows and Mac executables (.exe and .dmg) files.
Configuration
- Go to the eXtendFiles Setup page at eXtendTech → eXtendFiles → eXtendFiles.
- Click the File Uploads Restrictions subtab.
- Specify the file extensions that need to be blocked from upload. You can restrict multiple types by separating the values with commas.Note: You can configure internal uploads and public uploads with unique restrictions.
- Save the eXtendFiles Setup Screen.
Usage
After configuration, when uploading a file with a restricted extension, an error message will be shown.
