When trying to embed a PDF into NetSuite using eXtendFiles—such as in the eXtendFiles - Preview field, an Inline HTML field, or a Formula (HTML) field in saved search results—the embed does not render.

As per Microsoft, this behavior is by design. While direct PDF embedding isn't possible, potential workarounds are provided below:

For files that can't be embedded, they can still be opened in a new browser tab using their link⁠ to view the file.⁠.

After a preview and/or thumbnail image has been generated for the file, the converted file image can be embedded.
