Overview

When using select object-based storage providers, use the eXtendFiles Bulk Download feature to download multiple files from a NetSuite record at one time.

When your NetSuite Administrator configures bulk download for a record type, a Bulk Download eXtendFiles button appears on the record.

Prerequisites

Before you use bulk download, your NetSuite Administrator must configure the feature.

The administrator must:

  • Enable bulk download for the applicable NetSuite record type.
  • Configure where the Bulk Download eXtendFiles button appears on the form.
  • Deploy the required eXtendFiles script for the record type.

If you do not see the Bulk Download eXtendFiles button on a record where you expect it, contact your NetSuite Administrator.

Usage

Use bulk download to download multiple eXtendFiles from a configured NetSuite record.

Download files from a record

  1. Open the NetSuite record that contains the eXtendFiles you want to download.
  2. Locate and click the Bulk Download eXtendFiles button on the record.
  3. If prompted, review the list of available files.
  4. Select or clear files as needed.
  5. Continue with the download.

eXtendFiles downloads the selected files from the record.

Select files for download

Your administrator can configure whether all files are selected by default.

  • If Download All by Default is enabled, all available files are selected automatically.
  • If Download All by Default is not enabled, select the files you want to include before downloading.

Review the selected files before continuing with the download.

Download files from additional records

Bulk download is configured by record type. If the Bulk Download eXtendFiles button appears on one record type but not another, your administrator may need to enable bulk download for the additional record type.

Q: Why don't I see the Bulk Download eXtendFiles button?

A: Bulk download may not be configured for that record type, or the required script may not be deployed. Contact your NetSuite Administrator.

Q: Do I have to download every file on the record?

A: Not always. If your setup allows file selection, you can choose which files to include before downloading. If all files are selected by default, review the list before continuing.

Q: Can I use bulk download on every NetSuite record?

A: Bulk download is available only on record types configured by your NetSuite Administrator.

Q: What should I do if a file is missing from the download list?

A: Confirm that the file is attached to the record and available in eXtendFiles. If it still does not appear, contact your NetSuite Administrator.
