Use Case
- Update the OAuth 2.0 Client Credentials
(M2M) used in the eXtendFiles,
eXtendFrame, and eXtendMobile
applications.
Prerequisites
- NetSuite Administrator access
Update Steps (Video)
Update Steps (Written)
1. Download the Latest Certificate
- Click on the following link to download
the latest public certificate: cert1767676817384
2. Access OAuth 2.0 Client Credentials Setup
Page
- Navigate to Setup →
Integration → Manage Authentication →
OAuth 2.0 Client Credentials (M2M)
Setup.
- This will open the page where you can view
and manage your OAuth 2.0 client
credentials.
3. Create New Credentials
- Before creating new credentials, you need to know the entity and role used for the eXtendTech application. Review the OAuth 2.0 client credentials list to identify the entity and role associated with the application you're updating. The application names are:eXtendTech Files for eXtendFileseXtendFrame Functions for eXtendFrameeXtendMobile for eXtendMobile

If you're unsure which entity and role to use, please reach out to eXtendTech Support at support@extendtech.net prior to creating new credentials. NetSuite allows adding a certificate to a particular application and entity a single time, so it's important that the selection is accurate.
- Click Create New.
- In the popup window, choose the entity,
role, and application. Upload the certificate which
was downloaded in 1. Download the
Latest
Certificate.
- See Creating OAuth 2.0 Client Credentials (M2M) for more information.

- Upon saving, a CERTIFICATE ID will be generated. Save this ID for use in the next steps. Since there will be multiple entries in the list, make sure to save the certificate ID with the most recent "Created Date."

- Repeat the above process for each
eXtendTech application that you have in
your environment: eXtendFiles,
eXtendFrame, eXtendMobile. Each of these
eXtendTech applications use the same
certificate, so you can upload the same
one for each application.
If you have only a single eXtendApp, you
will perform only a single certificate
update. If you have a combination of
eXtendFiles, eXtendFrame, and
eXtendMobile, you will perform the
certificate update for each
application.
4. Update eXtendTech Application Setup
Pages
- After creating the new credentials records, go to the application setups to specify the CERTIFICATE ID that was generated when creating OAuth 2.0 credentials and the CERTIFICATE TYPE.
- eXtendFiles: Go to eXtendTech → eXtendFiles → eXtendFiles Approval Setup and select the Certificate Configuration subtab.

- eXtendFrame: Go eXtendTech → eXtendFrame → Setup.

- eXtendMobile: Go to eXtendTech → eXtendMobile → Setup.

- In the CERTIFICATE
ID field, specify your
certificate ID from the previous step.
- In the CERTIFICATE TYPE field,
specify: cert1767676817384
- Submit/Save the setup page.
5. Repeat for Other Environments
If you're using eXtendFiles, eXtendFrame, or eXtendMobile in additional environments—such as a NetSuite Sandbox or NetSuite Release Preview account—repeat these steps to update the OAuth 2.0 Client Credentials in each additional environment.
