Use Case

  • Defining rules to make the field visible based on the values specified in other fields.

Summary

This configuration allows you to hide a field on a form unless a specific value is entered in another field on the same form. For instance, if you have two fields on the form, "Field-A" and "Field-B", and you want to display a third field called "Field-C" only when "Field-A" has a value of "XYZ", this feature will help you achieve that.

Note: This feature is available only on Create, Edit, and Transform functions.

Configuration Details

  1. Go to the field where a display rule is to be added.
  2. Tap Field Display Rules.

    Note:
We recommend to not change the field's data type unless it is necessary.

  5. Select the search operator to specify your criteria. Once you have selected the search operator, a value field will appear in which you can specify the value.

  6. Save the field display rule after it is complete.
  7. Repeat the process to add additional field display rules.
  8. To edit an existing rule, swipe the card to the right. To delete an existing rule, swipe the card to the left.

Note: All rules must be matched for the field to be displayed.

Known Limitations:
  • In eXtendMobile 1.10.x, the save button for the last field displayed on the form is not functional.
