Overview

The eXtendMobile iOS and Android applications support Single-Sign-On (SSO) login when configured with a compatible identity provider. This feature allows users to authenticate using their existing corporate credentials, enhancing security and simplifying the login process.

As of eXtendMobile 1.12.788, SSO login is supported when using Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory).
Currently, SSO is supported in the mobile app, but not in the web app.

Prerequisites

Before configuring SSO in eXtendMobile, ensure you have:

  • Administrative access to Microsoft Entra ID
  • Administrative access to NetSuite
  • eXtendMobile SuiteApp 1.12.172 or later installed
  • eXtendMobile 1.12.788 or later installed on mobile devices

Configuration

Complete the following steps to configure SSO for eXtendMobile.

Microsoft Entra ID Configuration

  1. Navigate to the Azure Portal and login with a Microsoft 365 Administrator login
  2. Search for or open the Microsoft Entra ID service
  3. Under basic information, copy the Tenant ID for your selected tenant.

  4. Provide the Tenant ID to your NetSuite Administrator

NetSuite Configuration

eXtendMobile Setup Page

  1. Navigate to the eXtendMobile Setup page with a NetSuite Administrator login at eXtendTech → eXtendMobile → Setup
  2. Enter the Tenant ID from the previous section in the Azure Tenant ID field

  3. Click Submit to enable SSO
After SSO is enabled, each eXtendMobile Users record will need to be configured to utilize SSO login.

User Record Configuration

To enable a user to login using SSO:
  1. Navigate to eXtendTech → eXtendMobile → eXtendMobile App Users
  2. Edit the user to be enabled with SSO
  3. In the Azure Email ID field, enter the user's Microsoft Entra ID email address
  4. Set the Enable Password Login for SSO preference:
    1. Enable this option to allow the user to login using both SSO and password-based login
    2. Disable this option to limit the user to only SSO login

  5. Save the changes to the user

A: Yes, if the "Enable Password Login for SSO" option is enabled for their user record.
