Summary

eXtendMobile allows you to populate the value of fields based on the value of other fields. Similar to NetSuite, when a user sets a value for a field, values will be automatically populated in other fields that depend on the source field. In this article, we will explore the configuration details of this feature in eXtendMobile.

Configuration

  1. Open the field details page for the field that will have its value updated based on another field.

  2. If the value of a sublist is dependent on changes made to a body field, then modify any field within the sublist.

  3. On the field details page, select the field on which the current field's or sublist data depends under the Sourcing Field. This field allows for multiple selections, so you can choose one or more fields.

Notes

Inventory Details Sourcing

  1. Inventory details sourcing at the sublist level will only work if the inventory is present under the default inventory location and the location field is selected on the form.

Component Quantity

  1. The form will be updated with the components, their quantities, and inventory details (if specified) when the quantity field at the body level is changed, provided that sourcing is configured.

Other Body Fields

  1. If sourcing is configured on body fields, the data will be updated based on the value of the source field, similar to what happens natively in NetSuite.
