Problem

When trying to start the multifulfillment generation process on a sales order, the error "No Item Fulfillment record found in NetSuite for SalesOrder Id XXXXXX" is shown in the multifulfillment logs and/or email notification in NetSuite.

Solution

This error message indicates that a source item fulfillment does not yet exist on the associated sales order. In order for the multi-fulfillment process to run and generate item fulfillment records based on the configured pre-fulfillment information, a source item fulfillment must be created to capture the items being processed and pull related fulfillment details.

  1. Create an item fulfillment against your sales order in "Picked" or "Packed" status for the items and inventory details which will be processed with eXtendMultiFulfillment.

    Note: Depending on your configured eXtendMultiFulfillment settings, the "Shipped" status may be considered as well.
  2. Trigger the multifulfillment generation process. During processing, the details of the source item fulfillment will be gathered, the source item fulfillment will be deleted, and new item fulfillments (based on pre-fulfillment configuration) will be generated.
