Version: eXtendOrders 2.0.0.26 and above
Audience: All
Overview
eXtendOrders enables the creation of decorated Purchase Orders using the same configurator UI found on Estimates (Quotes) and Sales Orders. This feature can be helpful when you need to generate Purchase Orders for program items or decorated items without the need to create Sales Orders.
For more details on the features offered by the eXtendOrders configurator UI, see:
Configuration
To enable eXtendOrders configurator UI on purchase orders, enable the "Allow OIC Configuration on Purchase Order" preference in the eXtendOrders Processing Preferences.
- Go to eXtendTech → eXtendOrders → Setup.
- Select the Additional Settings subtab.
- Enable the "Allow OIC Configuration on Purchase Order" preference.
Notes
- This feature requires the necessary Item/Deco and eXtendOrders fields to be present on the purchase order form.
- The subsequent Purchase Orders which are created will have a reference to originating Purchase Order in the "eXtendOrders Source PO" field.
- You can use the preconfigured items feature to automatically attach Order Imprint Configurations (OICs) and spin line items automatically using workflows.
- To enable the "Create Lines Server-Side" button (present on Estimate (Quote) and Sales Orders), a separate workflow needs to be deployed on the Purchase Order.
- Customers who purchased eXtendOrders 2.0 before version 2.0.0.25 will need to deploy additional workflow action scripts on the Purchase Order record to enable usage of this functionality.
