Overview

This article addresses an issue where a vendor selected in the eXtendOrders Configurator UI does not appear in the "PO Vendor" column after line item generation.

Problem

A vendor is selected in the eXtendOrders Configurator UI, but it does not appear in the PO Vendor column on the generated item lines.

Cause

This typically happens when:
  • The PO Vendor column is hidden on the sales order form, so you can’t see the value after line generation.
  • The Limit Vendor List On Items preference is enabled, and the selected vendor is not an allowed vendor on the item record.

Solution

  1. Check the PO Vendor column visibility.
    • Ensure the PO Vendor column is not hidden on your sales order form(s).
  2. Verify the Limit Vendor List On Items preference.
    • Go to Setup → Accounting → Accounting Preferences → Order Management.
    • Confirm Limit Vendor List On Items is not enabled.
    • If it is enabled, make sure the vendor selected in the Configurator UI is listed as a supported vendor on the item record.
