Overview
The Create Line Items button in eXtendOrders allows you to generate line items based on item and decoration information. This article explains how to resolve an issue where the button appears unresponsive.
Problem
When clicking the Create Line Items button after entering item or decoration information, the process appears unresponsive and doesn't complete.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Try performing the same action in the Sandbox environment to determine if the issue is environment-specific
- Check for browser extensions that might interfere with the application's functionality
- Test the process in a different web browser to rule out browser-specific issues
Solution
This issue typically occurs when NetSuite is set to Unrolled View instead of the required Tabbed View mode.
eXtendOrders requires NetSuite's standard Tabbed Mode to properly create line items.
How to Switch to Tabbed View
- Open any transaction in NetSuite
- Locate the horizontal bar at the top of the transaction (color may vary)
- Scroll to the right end of the bar and hover over it
- Click the window icon to switch to tabbed view
