When items are being constituted with eXtendPS-DE from PromoStandards, you can use the PromoStandards Field Mappings functionality to set hardcoded field values on your constituted item record(s). These field values can be your own field defaults and don't need to be sourced from the associated PromoStandards data.

The example below shows a simple example on how to set a hardcoded field value on an item during eXtendPS-DE item constitution. For more advanced mapping options, see Creating eXtendTech Field Mapping Records for Item Constitution.

1. Go to eXtendTech eXtendPS-DE PromoStandards Field Mappings  New.

2. Configure the following fields on the eXtendTech Field Mapping record to configure the mapping record with a hardcoded field value against your desired Output Field.

    1. Name
Specify a unique name for this mapping record.

    2. Integration Name
If you are setting the hardcoded value a matrix parent item, use the integration name promo_ns_parent_product. If you are setting the hardcoded value on a matrix child item, use the integration name promo_ns_product.

    3. Mapping List
      Select hardcoded in this field.

    4. Input Field
Leave this field blank for the hardcoded mapping.

    5. Output Field
Specify the item field where you are setting a hardcoded value. In the example below, the Output Field is the taxschedule field.

    6. Hardcoded Value
Specify the hardcoded value you want to set in the item field from Step 5 above.

Note: For fields of the Select type, you should enter the internal ID of the associated list value that you want to set on the item record instead of the text name of the list entry.

    7. Output Data Type
Specify the data type for the item field in which you are setting the hardcoded value.

Note: For fields of the Select type, select string as Output Data Type.
3. Save your mapping record.
