Overview
By
default, certain eXtendPS-DE fields
are disabled because they are
populated during the item creation
process and generally should not be
edited. However, there may be
situations where you need to manually
update a field value on an item
record. This article provides
instructions on how to make them
editable.
When the eXtendPS-DE bundle is
updated, NetSuite may reset the display
settings of custom fields to the app's
default configuration.
When this occurs, you'll need to reapply
your custom display settings following the bundle update.
Configuration Steps
The following fields are disabled in eXtendPS-DE by default:
- eXtendPS-DE Product ID
- eXtendPS-DE Product Part ID
- eXtendPS-DE Color Text
- eXtendPS-DE Size Text
To enable editing for a field, the
field
definition can be updated from “Disabled” to
“Normal” and applied to your desired item
forms:
- Navigate to Customization → Lists, Records, & Fields → Item Fields.
- Click the field name in the Description column to open the field
settings.
- In the Display Type setting, change
the value from Disabled to Normal.
- Click Apply to Forms to
confirm the item forms where the field
should be editable.
