Overview

This article explains how to resolve the "SSS_INVALID_SRCH_COL" error that occurs during a Product Data request when the searchkeywords field is improperly mapped or not available.

Problem

Users receive the following error message when executing a Product Data request:

SSS_INVALID_SRCH_COL, message=An nlobjSearchColumn contains an invalid column, or is not in proper syntax: searchkeywords

Cause

This error occurs when the searchkeywords field is mapped to the KEYWORD field in the eXtendPS-SE Product Data Setup screen, but the corresponding NetSuite feature that provides this field is not enabled in your NetSuite account.

Solution

To resolve this issue, you have three options:

  1. Remove the searchkeywords mapping from your Product Data Setup configuration
  2. Enable the required NetSuite web store feature that provides the searchkeywords field
  3. Map an alternative field instead of using the searchkeywords field
