Audience: Administrator

Problem

During an eXtendFiles upload, you see this error:

  • filename.ext: The AWS Access Key Id you provided does not exist in our records.

Cause

This error usually means the Amazon S3 credentials saved in eXtendFiles are not valid for AWS.

  • The Access Key ID might be incorrect.
  • The Access Key ID might have been deleted or deactivated in AWS.
  • The credentials might be for a different AWS account than the one that owns the S3 bucket.

Solution

  1. In NetSuite, review the Amazon S3 credentials saved in your eXtendFiles Configuration.
  2. In AWS, confirm the IAM user still exists and that the Access Key ID is active.
  3. If needed, create a new Access Key in AWS and update the Access Key ID and Secret Access Key in eXtendFiles.
  4. Save your changes and try the upload again.

For additional background, see AWS documentation: The AWS Access Key Id you provided does not exist in our records.
