Problem
The "Record ID Field," which is configured to display on the public upload page, shows "null" instead of displaying the correct field value.
For example, we have configured the File Upload ID to reference the sales order number for the sales order Record Type in the Public Upload configuration in the eXtendTech → eXtendFiles → eXtendFiles
Configuration page.

We expect to see this field on the public upload page for the sales order record, resembling the image below, where "174" is displayed as it is the transaction id associated with the sales order.

Instead, the value "null" is shown on the public upload page for that sales order.

Solution
This may be occurring due to an issue in the underlying saved search which is associated with the public upload processing. View the underlying saved search by opening the referenced saved search in the public upload's "Saved Search ID" field and confirm that it has been properly filtered to your target record type.
1. Open the referenced saved search for the record type experiencing the issue. (To find the saved search ID you will need to scroll all the way to the right of the Public Upload Record Type Setting table in the eXtendFiles
Configuration → Public Upload page referenced earlier in this article.)

2. Confirm that the criteria joins it to the target record type similar to the example below. See Configuring the Public Upload Feature in eXtendFiles for more information.
