Overview

The OIC Backup feature in eXtendOrders allows users to save item configurations at any point during the configuration process. This feature creates an unused/orphaned Order Imprint Configuration (OIC) record, which includes customer details, creation timestamp, and user information. In case of unexpected errors during order saving, users can retrieve their saved configurations and continue their work or start a new order.

Configuration

To enable the OIC Backup feature, follow these steps:
  1. Navigate to the eXtendOrders Processing Preferences page:
    1. Go to eXtendTech → eXtendOrders → Setup.
  2. In the Additional Settings subtab, locate and enable the "Backup OIC" preference.

Additional Notes

  • Unused/orphaned OIC records are automatically deleted after one week by a deployment of the "eXtendOrders Delete Job Queue & OIC MR" Map/Reduce script.
  • The duration for keeping unused/orphaned OIC records can be customized by changing the saved search listed in the "Saved Search Id" script parameter to one which has a different duration specified. See Customizing OIC Backup Retention Duration in eXtendOrders for more information.
