Audience: User
Overview
When enabled by your NetSuite Administrator, the OIC Backup feature in eXtendOrders allows saving item configurations at any point during the configuration process. This feature creates an unused/orphaned Order Imprint Configuration (OIC) record, which includes customer details, creation timestamp, and user information. In case of unexpected errors during order saving, you can retrieve your saved configurations and continue work or start a new order.
Usage
To use the OIC Backup feature, follow these steps:
- In the configurator UI, look for a button labeled "Show Recent Configurations" next to the "Create Lines" button.
- Click this button to open a window displaying your saved configurations that are not attached to an order.
- Select a configuration from the list to load its previously saved item and decoration data into the configurator UI.
- You can then continue editing the items and decoration, create lines, or save the order to generate the lines.
Additional Notes
- Saved OICs are linked to a customer account. You'll only see configurations saved for orders started with that customer's record on the order.
- Saved OICs are for your own configurations. You will not see saved configurations that below to other users.
- Choosing a configuration will load all OICs that were part of the saved configuration.
- If an unused (orphaned) record has an order added to it, it's no longer considered orphaned and won't appear in the list when you click "Show Recent Configurations."
- All unused (orphaned) OICs older than a week will be automatically deleted. This is the default setting, but it can be adjusted by your NetSuite Administrator.
