Overview
By default, the eXtendOrders Configurator UI
is available on the Inventory Item and Non-Inventory Item types. To enable it
on other item types, you'll need to perform
additional configuration steps.
Prerequisites
You need Administrator access to NetSuite
or permissions to deploy scripts and
modify custom forms.
Configuration
Script Deployments
To enable the eXtendOrders Configurator UI on other item types, deploy these scripts:
- eXtendOrders Client Script
- Go to Customization →
Scripting →
Scripts
- View the client script named
"eXtendOrders Client Script"
- Review existing script deployments and create a new one if not present for your item type
- Set Status to "Released"
and Log Level to "Audit"
- Under Audience, select "ALL INTERNAL ROLES" or specific roles as needed
- Save the deployment
- eXtendOrders User Event
Script
- Go to Customization → Scripting →
Scripts
- View the user event script named
"eXtendOrders User Event Script"
- Review existing script deployments and create a new one if not present for your item type
- Set Status to "Released"
and Log Level to "Audit"
- Under Audience, select "ALL INTERNAL ROLES" or specific roles as needed
- Save the deployment
Item Form Configuration
After deploying the scripts, configure the item forms:
- Navigate to the custom item forms applied to your item type
- Make sure these fields on the Item/Deco subtab are enabled:
- eXtendOrders Display OIC Information On Items - Set Display Type to "Normal"
- eXtendOrders Show InlineHtml Button On
Items - Set Display Type to "Normal"
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q: Can I enable the Configurator UI on all item types?
A: No. The following item types don't support the required fields, so the eXtendOrders Configurator UI cannot be enabled on:
- Service
- Other Charge
- Group
