Use Case

  • Update the pricing of an item from a different FOB point.
  • Methods for finding the available FOB points for an item.

Summary

This article will guide you in finding the FOB point of an item, so that you can update its pricing using a different FOB point than the one used during the item's initial setup. Additionally, you will learn how to change the FOB point on an item and update its pricing accordingly based on the new FOB point.

Update an Item's FOB Point

  1. Navigate to the item for which you want to update the FOB point.

  2. On the eXtendPS-DE subtab you will find a link to view item detail page.

    Note: The name and visibility depend upon the form configuration in your environment.

    You can also search for the item using the eXtendPS-DE item search. Using the Item Search.

  3. On the item detail page, you can see the FOB points available for the item.

  4. Note the name and id of the FOB point which you want to update on the item record.

  5. Edit the item record and specify the FOB ID and FOB Name in the eXtendPS-DE Product FOB ID {custitem_extend_promo_fob_id} and eXtendPS-DE Product FOB value {custitem_extend_promo_fob_value} fields, respectively.

  6. Save your item record.
You can also update the FOB point values using a CSV import or by creating saved search and updating them via inline editing.

Note: Updating FOB point values alone will not update the pricing of the item. You will need to update the pricing according to the details mentioned in the next section.

Update Item Pricing

After updating the FOB point values on the item record, you will need to update the pricing of the items. You can use either of the two methods mentioned below.

Using the "Refresh PromoStandards Pricing" Button

  1. If you are updating a limited number of items, you can update the item pricing using the "Refresh PromoStandards Pricing" button.

    Note    : this button may be hidden by your NetSuite Administrator and require enablement

  2. When the pricing is updated, it will be updated per the newly-configured FOB point.

Using Bulk Update Methods

  1. If you have many items with updated FOB values and you want to update their pricing, the following bulk update methods are available:
