Overview

After the Product Compliance service has been configured within your account, you will configure your item records with product compliance information so that it can be sent in the PromoStandards product compliance response.

Prerequisites

Before configuring product compliance information on your item records, the following compliance records need to be created within NetSuite:

Applicable Chemicals
The custom list eXtendPS-SE Applicable Chemical {customlist_extend_ps_se_app_chem} is used to store chemical names. You will need to update this list to include the chemicals which your products contain.

Applicable Warnings
The custom record eXtendPS-SE Applicable Warnings {customrecord_extend_ps_se_app_warnis used to store applicable warnings. You will need to create the applicable warning records using this custom record.

Create an Applicable Warnings Record

1. Go to Customization → Lists, Records, & Fields → Record Types.

2. Search for the record type eXtendPS-SE Applicable Warnings and create a new record.

3. Specify values for the fields which are part of the Applicable Warnings record.Image Placeholder

Name: Specify the name of the record. This will be shown when applying the warning record as part of the compliance information.

Applicable Warning - Select the appropriate warning applied to your products.

  • On Product Cancer
  • On Product Reproductive
  • Food
  • Furniture
  • Alcoholic Beverage
Applicable Chemicals - Select the chemicals applicable to your products.
Warning Label Applied - Select the appropriate warning label applied to the product or product packaging.

4. Save the record.

5.Create additional records based on the different compliance information required by your products.

Create a Product Compliance Record

1. Go to Customization → Lists, Records, & Fields → Record Types.

2. Search for the record type eXtendPS-SE Product Compliance and create a new record.

3. Specify the values for the fields which are part of the Product Compliance record.Image Placeholder

Name: Specify the name of the record. This will be shown when applying the compliance record to an item.

Applicable Warnings: Select applicable warning(s) created in the Applicable Warning steps above.

Policy For Applying Label - Select the appropriate policy for applying labels to your products.

  • Applied When Shipping to California

4. Save the record.

5. Create multiple records based on the different compliance information required by your products.

Apply Product Compliance Records to Items

Once the records in the sections above are created, you will apply the product compliance record to your item records.

1. Go to your item record and open it in edit mode.

2. Go to the eXtendPS-SE subtab and find the EXTENDPS-SE COMPLIANCE DATA field. Note: This subtab may be labeled as "PromoStandards" in your account.


3. Select appropriate compliance record(s) and save your item.

4. Product compliance information will now be included in the product compliance PromoStandards response for the item.
