Overview

This guide explains how to add or inactivate a custom File Type in eXtendFiles. File Types help categorize and organize eXtendFiles within NetSuite.

Steps to Add or Inactivate a File Type

  1. Navigate to Customization → Lists, Records, & Fields → Lists or search for Files Record - Type List in Global Search.
  2. Open the "Files Record - Type List" list.
  3. In the Values sublist, add new File Types or inactivate existing ones as needed. See Best Practices for Managing the eXtendFiles - File Type List and Field for recommendations on managing the file type list.

  4. Click Save to apply your changes.
