Overview

The "DELETE FILES FROM STORAGE" setting in eXtendFiles allows you to control whether files are deleted from your cloud storage when you delete an eXtendFiles record from NetSuite.

Configuration

To delete a file from your backend storage upon the deletion of an eXtendFiles record, enable the "DELETE FILES FROM STORAGE" setting on the eXtendFiles Configuration page.

  1. Open the configuration page at eXtendTech → eXtendFiles → eXtendFiles Configuration.
  2. In the lefthand navigation column, browse to Storage Settings → General.Image Placeholder
  3. Enable/disable the setting by clicking on the checkbox.

  4. Save the change.

If you have multiple copies of the file across multiple eXtendFiles records, the file will not be deleted from the backend storage until all eXtendFiles records pointing to that file have been deleted.
