Overview

The eXtendFiles Inline Upload feature allows you to upload files directly on your NetSuite records using a drag and drop upload area.

Prerequisites

The eXtendFiles Inline Upload feature must be configured by your NetSuite Administrator.

Usage

After configuration, you can upload files to your records using the drag-and-drop upload area in either Edit Mode or View Mode. View Mode is recommended. Create Mode is not supported at this time.

Uploading Files

  1. Go to a record that has inline upload functionality enabled.
  2. Use the "Click To Upload" button or the drag and drop area to upload your file. Which version shows depends on whether customized uploader fields are configured.

  3. If prompted to set customized uploader fields, add the appropriate attributes to your files.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q: How many files can I upload at once?
A: Due to NetSuite's SuiteScript governance constraints, you can upload up to 15 files at once. After the first upload completes, you can submit another batch of up to 15 files.

Q: Can I use this feature in Create Mode?
A: No, Create Mode is not supported. You can use the feature in Edit Mode or View Mode, with View Mode being recommended.
