Overview

The following is a guide on resetting user passwords in eXtendMobile. This feature is particularly useful for allowing users to establish their own password upon account creation, or for resetting their eXtendMobile password.

Configuration

The password reset process involves a few steps in NetSuite by a NetSuite Administrator and a few steps in eXtendMobile by the user.

NetSuite (Administrator)

In NetSuite, the following steps need to be taken:
  1. Navigate to eXtendTech → eXtendMobile → Mobile App Users.
  2. Open the user for whom you want to reset the password in edit mode.
  3. Clear the user's PIN field and save the user record.

  4. Notify the user to reset their password via the eXtendMobile application.

eXtendMobile (User)

On the user side, the following steps need to be taken:
  1. Open the eXtendMobile application. A login page will appear.
  2. Tap the "Reset Password" link.

  3. Specify the subdomain for your eXtendMobile environment, username, and new PIN to reset the password. If you're unsure of your subdomain, check with your NetSuite Administrator.
  4. Upon successful password reset, you will be redirected to the login page.
  5. Enter the updated login credentials to log in to eXtendMobile.
