Overview

eXtendPS-SE allows you to map your NetSuite Price Levels to PromoStandards Price Types. This mapping is used to generate pricing information in the Product Pricing and Configuration response.

For more details on the price level mapping configuration, see the Product Pricing & Configuration Setup Configuration article.

Pricing Hierarchy for "Customer" Price Type Requests

When distributors make a PromoStandards Product Pricing and Configuration request with the "Customer" price type, the system applies the following hierarchy to determine the pricing response:

  • Item-Specific Pricing: If the customer has item-specific pricing defined, this price takes precedence.
  • Customer Price Level: If no item-specific pricing exists, but the customer has a defined price level, this price level is used.
  • Default "Customer" Mapping: If neither of the above apply, the system uses the price level mapped to "Customer" in your eXtendPS-SE P&C settings.
This hierarchy ensures that the most specific and relevant pricing is always provided to your distributors.

To maintain consistency with NetSuite's standard pricing structure, it's generally recommended to map the "Customer" price type to "Base Price" in your eXtendPS-SE P&C settings.
