Prerequisites 

  • You have eXtendOrders 2.0 configured in your account.
  • You have eXtendFiles version 1.5.3.8 or above configured in your account.

Background

When eXtendOrders 2.0 and eXtendFiles are both configured, you can use the eXtendFiles File Picker feature with the eXtendOrders Decoration Configuration process. This lets you select an existing file for your artwork efficiently.

Problem

The File Picker button doesn't appear in the Decoration Configuration UI.

Resolution

Ensure the following steps are completed:
  1. Verify the eXtendFiles File Picker feature is set up for the appropriate transaction type. Navigate to eXtendTech → eXtendFiles → eXtendFiles to verify or configure the File Picker's available transaction types.

  2. Confirm that the eXtendFiles User Event script is deployed on the target record type (Opportunity, Quote / Estimate, Sales Order, or Purchase Order) and that it is not marked as Inactive. This script is required for upload processing and for the display of the File Picker.
  3. Verify the eXtendFiles File Picker field is visible on your transaction form. If it's not, customize your transaction form and enable the Files File Picker field (field id: custbody_extend_file_picker). The field should be set to "Show" for visibility and "Normal" for Display Type.

    After saving your custom form, the File Picker button should appear on your transaction record and the eXtendOrders Item Configuration modal. After saving your custom form, the File Picker button will be visible on your transaction record, and the File Picker button will also be visible on the eXtendOrders Item Configuration modal as shown below.
