Problem

If you receive the error "Failed to create matrix-option-list-type: customlist_extend_asi_size_list" while trying to constitute an item with eXtendASI-DE, NetSuite wasn't able to add a new size parameter due to an unexpected error.

Solution

To work around the issue, which may be caused by a temporary NetSuite API issue, you can manually create the list entry from an account with access to modify custom lists. After doing so, you should be able to create your item successfully since the size will already be in the list.

  1. Go to the custom list mentioned in the error message (Customization → Lists, Records, & Fields, → Lists). In the case of the screenshot above, the ASI Product Size list.

  2. Add the size from the error message along with an abbreviation and Save.
  3. You should now be able to create items in the size which was previously erroring.
